Rajinikanth is a popular and distinguished Indian actor who is best known for starring in the most watched Bollywood Films like Rajinikanth. He achieved fame early in his career with Kabali, which received positive reviews from the critics. Rajinikanth has won three National Awards and five Filmfare Awards during his career span of more than 50 years. He has most of his films released with numbers in the Top 10 rank at box office. Rajinikanth is considered as one of the greatest actors in the Indian film industry, having started his career with Tamil Film Industry. The movie was the second highest grossing film of 2001, earning over double its budget. His performance in Kabali reportedly delayed its release, which eventually caused a financial loss for its producers. His first leading role in a South Indian film was in Muthuvel's "Guru" (1984), which was based on an incident that took place in Kanchipuram.
